MJC News
As i am now professionally interested in journalism i have created a new weblog where, if i am feeling like a bit of journalism, i will type up news stories which i have researched. This will allow me to become better at journalism.

New Weblog Online
Sorry that i have been a bit inactive on the posting front lately- i have been experimenting with creating webpages with html, xhtml, and css. I have also just noticed the new wordpress version and the new theme. I think they look much better than the old one…
Anyway. I have now set up a new weblog which i will use to keep you, the public, updated with my latest discoveries in the world of coding. I will not only be talking about html, xhtml and css but i will also be writing about programming languages such as Javascript and maybe some Visual Basic.
Anyway, more of that on the new blog over at http://www.codeprog.wordpress.com …

Recent updates
Bonfire night went very well this year for me and i don’t mean just because of the fireworks. Over the last week i have been doing quite a lot on the computer and i can recommend some good software and a good website.
www.teachict.com is a brilliant website for easy to understand video tutorials of programs such as microsoft word, microsoft excel, microsoft access, dreamweaver e.t.c. This might not be useful for everyone but i found this website particurlarly useful for reviewing other programs and what they could do, which links in with my next recommendation.
Now for the last two months or so i have been using a free program which i got off of the cover of a PCAdvisor magazine. It is called website X1 but recently i have noticed there is a new updated version available called websiteX5, and there is a whole website devoted to it which includes some more video tutorials. I think i might be getting this program for christmas so i can upgrade my websites to a higher level. For more information on the features of websitex5 please visit www.websitex5.com .

Hell’s Grannies!!
The reason for this sudden clip from youtube is that my friend recommended it. It’s basically a clip from monty python called Hell’s Grannies and it’s about some old ladies who attack people with their handbags, shove people off the pavement e.t.c
Anyway, heres the clip:
Halloween!!
Sorry for this late posting but i am pleased to announce there was a very successful event on the game clubpenguin over Halloween which included an eclipse so everything went dark, a hunt for sweets to win a gift and lots more fun activities!
The event might still be on so it is worth checking it out.
UPDATE: The event is now closed so please ignore the above sentence.
